Custom orders policy

Custom and corporate work involves additional choices, approvals and production steps beyond our standard catalogue.

Quotation and specification

A custom order is based on the agreed product, quantity, size, paper, printing or finishing requirements, pricing and expected lead time. Changes to the specification can affect both price and timing.

Artwork and approvals

Where you provide logos, artwork, text, names or other content, you are responsible for checking spelling, content and usage rights. Where an artwork proof, layout or sample is supplied for approval, production will follow the approved version.

Handmade variation

Custom work made with handmade paper will still show the natural variation described on our About our Paper page. Colour, fibre, texture, thickness, deckle edges and print appearance can vary slightly across a batch.

Lead times

Custom production begins only after the required specification, artwork and commercial approvals are complete. Lead times are estimates and may change if the order itself changes.

Changes and cancellation

Once artwork is approved, materials are allocated or production begins, changes may no longer be possible and the order may become non-cancellable.

Returns

Custom and personalised goods are not generally returnable because of a change of mind. Genuine manufacturing defects, wrong items or significant errors against the approved specification will still be reviewed.
